Remembrance Park

The Village owns a great parcel for a park—1.75 acres right in the heart of residential Tequesta. There are so many reasons this should be a park. (See here.) And whereas this space is perfect for a natural park (the two images below show the great potential), it is not a good shape for a residential project. The development would likely have to cram the homes into the space.

Unfortunately, the story of Remembrance Park is so far a story of neglect. (See image below.) And at the May 3 Council workshop, the Village Manager advised the Council that he did not have plans to fund Remembrance Park (May 3 Council workshop youtu.be/RuGYMUvwhqg 1:24:29).

Please ask the Council to direct the Village Manager to prioritize Remembrance Park in this year's budget.

Let's make this a beautiful park and get rid of the No Trespassing sign.
